how to log into apple music on android phone with verification code

I have a note 7 and I am trying to sign into my apple music account. I get to the point where it tells me I need a verification code. I get the code from my ipad and I hit retry and enter my sign in info, but I don't understand how to enter the verification code to enable me to access my music. The instructions aren't clear.

I hope someone can help.
